Beginning Paper Piecing

This Paper Piecing Technique class is an introduction to the fun, exacting way of achieving perfect points and interesting designs.  You will have a knowledge of this process so you can jump right into any paper piecing project!  We will be completing several Pineapple Blocks.


Supply List -
6" Pineapple Block Foundation Paper pad.  The pad has 42 sheets so you will be able to build a quilt from this block.
Fabric - Please bring a selection of fabrics in fun colors and also a background color.  Dive into your scrap bin for this, or pick some coordinated Fat Quarters.  The sample shown uses a light background, but you can use whatever color you want. 
Sewing machine in good working order.  Not the one you never use, the one you are familiar with.  :)
Suggested presser foot - Open Toe Foot, Clear Open Toe Foot.  **Just a suggestion, bring what you have!
Rotary Cutter, Mat, and Ruler.  Park Bench has a limited supply of cutting mats for your use if you would like to use one of them.
Basic Sewing supplies - scissors, seam ripper, etc.

Add A Quarter Ruler

If you want to bring a small iron and pressing mat for yourself, feel free to do so.  The classroom irons and boards will also be available for your use.

There is a minimum enrollment of 4 students to hold this class.

Cancellation Policy - To receive a refund for a class you have paid for, you must notify us 24 hours in advance of the first class session.  There are no refunds of transfers to another class if you are a no-show to the class.  Please call us if you have any questions regarding this policy.
